Also called the Indian Deer, Spotted Deer, and the Chital Deer, native to India and Sri Lanka. The male stands 29” - 40” tall to the withers and weighs between 140 to 250 lbs. Considered by some to be the most beautiful deer in the world.

 Axis-deer

Various colors ranging from black, white, red, brown or spotted. Tusks protrude from the gums of the bottom jaw up to about 5” in length. Large males can weigh over 400 lbs.
